Extra is an add-on game offered by the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. It is played alongside Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Western 649, or Western Max.
Extra costs an additional $1 per play. You can add it to any WCLC game at the terminal.
When you add Extra, you receive a 7-digit number printed on your ticket. You cannot pick your own Extra number.
On each draw, a 7-digit Extra number is drawn. Prizes are awarded for matching 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 digits in exact order from the right side. Matching all 7 digits wins the top prize.
Odds: Top-prize odds are approximately 1 in 2,000,000 per play. Overall odds of winning any Extra prize are approximately 1 in 96.
No. Extra can only be added to a main WCLC lottery ticket. It cannot be purchased on its own.
Each $1 Extra play covers one draw of your main game. For Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49, that's the same draw date as the main ticket.
No. Extra numbers are always computer-generated at the terminal.
The top prize for matching all 7 digits is $1,000,000.
